Approved accrediting agencies

The Commission has given the following accrediting agencies interim approval to assess health service organisations to the NSQHS Standards until 31 December 2012.  This list will be regularly updated.

Submissions for approval of accrediting agencies

The Commission now invites submissions from interested accrediting agencies for approval to assess health services to the NSQHS Standards.  For the first time, this process will also consider applications from accrediting agencies seeking to assess Medicare Locals.

The 2 processes have been combined to streamline administrative arrangements for accrediting agencies.

Applications are to be submitted to the Commission by 5.00pm (Eastern Standard Time) on Friday 5 October 2012.

Completed applications will need to include all the necessary supporting documentation and a signed Declaration of Compliance.

The assessment process is due for completion by November 2012.
