The Commission developed the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards to improve the quality of health service provision in Australia. The Standards provide a nationally consistent statement of the level of care consumers should be able to expect from health services. The Commission has developed a number of resources to assist health service organisations implement the NSQHS Standards. These resources have now been finalised following a public consultation in August 2012 and are available for use:
